During 1996, Maison managed and co-managed financings aggregating in excess of $250 million for a diversified list of corporate clients. In the past we helped Petromet, Stampeder (six times), Canadian Pioneer (four times), San Andres, St. Andrew Goldfields, Newport, Pipestone, Tusk Resources, Central Crude, Carmanah (three times), Minorca (three times), United Keno Hill (three times), Vogue, Yogen Fruz (twice), Vermilion (twice), Canadian Superior Energy, Intergold, Keywest and Geodyne. Our participation in these financings has shown us that Corporate Canada values our independent position in the Canadian securities industry. In addition, we have provided numerous fairness opinions. The firm has been an investment banker for many of the leading resource companies, in particular the precious metals companies such as Agnico-Eagle, Barrick, Prime Resources, Homestake, Goldcorp, and Minorca, to name a few. The firm has been an important source of capital for mining exploration and development. Maison is committed to the gold mining industry, offering a broad range of services, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, institutional research and valuation work. The group is comprised of two professionals, each having 25 years of mining experience. The energy group consists of two professionals.
